DIMENSION

Choose the Dimension of a Bulk Bag

To determine the right dimensions for your bulk bags, consider these key factors:
• Product Density: The weight of the material being packaged will dictate the necessary size of the bulk bag. Each product has a specific density that affects the required bag dimensions.
• Filling and Discharging Conditions: Consider the specific conditions under which the bulk bag will be filled and emptied.
• Filling Machine Compatibility: If a filling machine is used, ensure the bulk bag dimensions are suitable for the machine’s specifications.
• Customer Handling Capabilities: Adjust the bag size based on your customers' ability to handle and discharge the bags.
• Transportation and Storage: The dimensions of transport vehicles (such as trucks, containers, trains, or ships) and storage spaces (like shelves or warehouse areas) are crucial. These dimensions will influence the size of the bulk bags.

Maximum Use of Truck Space

Bulk bags are often transported by trucks, typically 2.46 meters wide and 13.6 meters long. Common external base dimensions for bulk bags are:
• 91x91 cm: 1000kg capacity, 24 bags per truck, 24 tons total
• 95x95 cm: 1200kg or 1250kg capacity, 20 bags per truck, 24- or 25-tons total
• 100x100 cm (Q-bag): 1000kg capacity, 24 bags per truck, 24 tons total
• 110x110 cm (Q-bag): 1200kg or 1250kg capacity, 20 bags per truck, 24- or 25-tons total

Jumbo Bags on Pallets

Jumbo bags are often placed on pallets, so their dimensions should align with the pallet size. For instance, Europallets with a base of 80x120 cm commonly use jumbo bags that are slightly smaller but of similar size. Q-bags are frequently optimized for Europallets.
